Trash on Tikaboo Peak

On our recent Tikaboo Hike, CJ and I collected and hauled down a large garbage bag full of trash that was left on the peak by fellow hikers. It is beyond me how people can think that throwing metal cans in the campfire is proper trash disposal. It only leaves a greater mess for someone else to clean up!

Folks, if you hike Tikaboo, PLEASE pack down ALL your garbage. If you can haul it up, its going to be a lot easier to haul it down. And if you can, try to pick up some extra trash. There is still plenty left up there.

If you double-bag the trash in heavy-duty bags, it can easily be strapped on top of your backpack and it won't get ripped by the trees. There is a dumpster in Alamo behind the Chevron gas station where you can dispose of the trash.

Thank you for your help in keeping Tikaboo clean.
