Alan Guth was born in 1947 and would be 58 now. Lazar was born in 1959 and would be 46 today. If they look alike with 12 years difference it would probably be a coincidence.
If you believe Lazars claim that he got his degree at M.I.T. in 1982 for which is no printed record he would have been there after Guth left. Guth was there from 1964 to 1971. He left 11 years before Lazar was supposed to have been there.
