Trinity site is open to the public on the first Saturday in April and October, plus a special one on this July 16th (60th anniversary). No reservations required; see the link for details. Jackie and I were there in October, 2004. There's not much melt glass (Trinitite) around anymore. Security is quite low -- at least it seemed that way to me.
