Climbing Tikaboo takes a bit of planning. Even with a GPS and markings on the rocks, I lose the trail in spots, and once you lose the trail the hike is much more grueling.

I've never hiked up and down in one day. In one respect, it would be easier since your backpack is lighter, but it's quite a bit of exercise for one day. If you stay the night, then you need a sleeping bag, tent, and a bit more water, so the hike up the hill is more difficult. Also, the trail is really slippery thanks to the ATVers. I think it's getting to the point where we need to start a new trail a bit to the left of the old trail for the first segment of the hike.

You will need high power binocs at the very least to see much of anything.
