I subscribed to Andreas' yahoo group, and you can see what I didn't learn. ;-) But the Y goes for preproductions, righ? I recall seeing an early version of the A-10 in the static displays at EDW. Now I'm trying to recall if it was the YA-10. It looked a bit odd with no engines in it. Next time they show that plastic looking F-35, I'll point out to the person in charge that they violated the offical naming rules, and refer the person to designation-systems.net. I bought some surplus transit cases that used to contain TTU-466/E . Any ideas? It's a McDonnell Douglas item. No google hits.
