Well, fiber optics have their very own set of problems. I noticed that they are using a network of very narrow microwave channels at Groom, including stations on Bald Mtn and Mt. Irish.
BTW: Are you familiar with the Quick Kill radar system, or what the two large dishes at the north end of the base are used for?
