In reading Sundogs post of 4/24 in reference to N20NY, I wondered how many other Biz or RJ type a/c are being used for recon, intel or even black type projects. I know all the major airframe manufacturers have military platforms. I have seen pics of Gulfstreams and Bombadier models with all sorts of antennea, pods and fairings stuck all over them flying thru the ranges.
Rocketplane Limited is testing a modified Lear 25 with a delta wing and a rocket in the tail for a Mach 3.5 passenger trip to 330,000 ft. for $150,000.
Any readers know of other civil types used for Area-51 type uses? In the past?
