I was one of the people that turned around when the truck started coming towards us. We weren't armed and didn't have cell phone service, and since you are in the middle of nowhere, what can you do? If they approached you and had a weapon and asked for your camera or anything else - are you going to tell them no? I was in the military and worked in the JAG office for a few months. The same laws do not apply in military court as they do in civilian court and who is to say that you didn't cross that line or that you didn't violate any law. I really just wouldn't want to deal with them, in the event they abused their power. And even if you were able to get a hold of the police, how long would it take for them to get there?
