I received this email from a member of my rocketry club. Any comments? Original Message: A friend of mine took this photo; the other night...in the photo near the pine tree is a series of dots, all in a very straight line. Any clues what caused it? Detail of the dots is in this cropped version My best guess, and its only a guess, is that a meteor went through the frame during the exposure. With the long exposure the camera scanned the CCD a bunch of times. Each time the camera came across the meteor during the scan, it recorded a bright dot. I don't really have a clue, but this is my best guess, what do you think? Information on the photo Waiting for your opinion. Ray
