Tonopah AB lakebed

Hi everyone,
I'm really enjoying this google map site with the high resolution photos. I was shocked at how much detail we can get on the Tonopah AB where the F-117's were based (General Dynamics Re:L-M Model 100's now?).

Anyway, you can see the airfield in the link I attached on the lower left. My question is, does anyone know what the lakebed at the upper right is used for? It has a landing strip on it and it appears to have "Something" at the center of the lakebed. There is also the line/road/whatever, running from the center to the lower left until it ends at a structure. Do they do signature testing out there? I can't imagine them doing that, since most companies have their own facilites for that. Anyway, I was just curious about what was going on at that lakebed.
