I would also say that you experienced encounters with sonic booms (probably from low flying B-1B bombers). Most sonic booms you hear come from fighter aircraft that are fairly distant, so one from a large aircraft that is very near sounds (and feels) considerably different - the lack of damage tends to confirm this hypothesis. As for the GPS problems, there is extensive radio jamming being conducted in this Red Flag exercise, and quite a bit of jamming is being done near Alamo. There are several hundred ground troops camped just west of Alamo between the school and the airstrip. GPS signals are very weak and are easily interfered with!
