I did a google on Firebee recovery, but can't find a good description of the recovery. Are they doing a mid-air helicopter catch? Or do you believe the missile actually lands? I think the vertical climb at the end of flight makes sense if the recovery is not mid-air. You need to lose the forward momentum. To clarify my other post, the ballast represents the warhead. Obviously needed for a fair test flight, but not useful in the parachute landing.
