Speaking of telescopes and such, I was in the area in January and photographed Bald Mountain. The idea was that the optical equipment would have heaters, so the lenses would be easy to spot since they woud be dark while everything else is covered with snow. Unfortunately, I picked a spot where the road was washed out so I couldn't get too close. However, I think there is a new camera mounted to the right of where the big camera is located. I'm also a bit more convinced that there is a fixed camera beneath the large camera. They also installed a new beam antenna.

Anyway, if it snows again, someone else might want to duplicate this test. My mistake was I should have gone left at the first "Y", i.e. the road that takes you to the remote control camera. It would have been closer.
