A person could make it to the top of Tikaboo without a sherpa, but as you know, if you lose the trail, the hike can get really nasty. This is especially true on the part of the hike from the false summit camp site to the peak.

The "correct" trail is so tight that you really can't follow the trail with a GPS, i.e you need to follow the marks on the rocks. [I think the cairns are only on the first part of the climb.] The consequence of losing the trail on the final assent is that you will be ducking under branches, climbing boulders, etc.

I still shake my head at the thought of that nutcase trying to climb Tikaboo at night with a "really big flashlight."
