It was an exceptionally clear sky, even for these parts. It has been colder than usual, with no humidity. That and the fact that it was a larger than I am used to seeing meteor probably account for the spectacular trail. Thanks for the link.
The Mothership hasn't visited the East Coast for some time. When it does, I hope they like dogs! :-)
