Well, the U-2 hangars were built in 54-55 or so, the 4 large engineering hangars were built for the A-12 program in the early 60's. The south ramp and its 4 duplex hangars were built around the same time. Now when the F-117 and Tacit Blueprograms came along they used some of the older A-12 hangars at the south end and temporary "rubber duck" hangars, 2 of them were erected where hangars 20-23 are now. The Tacit Blue was stored in Hangar 17 i believe. The large hangar 18 as its called was built in the mid 80's to provide storage and additional engineering space possibly assembly space for ongoing programs.
