Travis has at least 3 Tacamo's. Yes, it's a Navy plane based at an Air Force base. They do segregate the Tacamos from the rest of the Travis trash haulers. I was on Mt. Diablo a few days ago and saw one on the ground at Travis, so I assume the rest were "busy".

Regarding monitoring, the Tacamo's put out powerful EAMs on UHF. You can join baymilcom on yahoogroups regarding monitoring planes in the air (It covers Beale, Travis, and Moffet mostly.] There are a few other military monitoring lists, such as socalmilcom on yahoogroups, and milcom on qth.net
