Regarding the Red Flag 05-1.2 schedule posted a couple of days ago, here is some more information on the Australian units which will be attending. 4 x F-111C from 1SQN, 82WG RAAF All of the F/A-18s have been upgraded to F/A-18C standard by the addition of ARC-210 UHF/VHF radios, a new Combined Interrogator Transponder, an additional Multiplex Bus (MUXBUS), an embedded GPS/INS, upgraded mission computers, ASRAAM and AMRAAM AAMs, and the Raytheon APG-73 radar to replace the APG-65. It's possible that this may be the last major overseas exercise for the F-111s, as they have been slated for retirement in 2010, so get out and see them if you get a chance.
