There is gas in North Las Vegas, at Craig Road and at the Speedway. Probably a good idea to fill up before you head out.

The next gas is in Alamo and Ash Springs (about 90 miles from North Las Vegas). There is also a rest area with trees that provide shade about 5 miles south of Alamo. It has recently been paved. Just off Hwy 93 on the right.

From Alamo it is about 50 miles to Rachel. You can get gas in Rachel at the Quik Pik (8am-6pm daily, regular unleaded only). If you are planning to head on to Tonopah, you are looking at 110 miles without gas from there.

The highway is paved and in good condition all the way to Rachel. Access to the gas station in Rachel and to the Little A'Le'Inn is also mostly paved.

Groom Lake Road and the road to the Area 51 north gate near Rachel are graded dirt roads. I would not recommend those two roads if you are on a road bike.

I hope this helps. Enjoy the ride.
