He didn't say anything about a runway, only that the aircraft was at a high speed and low altitude.

Obviously I don't know if it was planned for the aircraft to be in that area, but there must have been some advance notice if a truck was sent to deal with possible witnesses.

He didn't specifically mention a lake bed when I asked him where it happened, only that it was "Frenchman's Flat".

I'll ask about more specific info the next time I talk to him.
