Part of my job is as an IT consultant. In my experience, you should be able to clean your PC of the virus without a complete format. I've posted a link to a site that has a tool that you can use that may clean your PC. However, I'd recommend turning off "System Restore" before you clean your PC, otherwise it may just return to reinfect you in the future. If you have any queries please feel free to email me.
