Thanks for an interesting anecdote that has no verifiable source, no method of proof and no possible explaination other than the one you support. If someone says it's suspect because it's been unreported by the media you can counter with a "sinister coverup" theory. If one suspects the source you can point out the oohhing and aawwing Marines as undisputed integrity (basically the only flaw in your plan if you are trying to impress anybody that been in the Navy). You have enough detail to show that it was not a meterological phenomena, meteroite, or known aircraft, but nothing else that would give a clue what it is. In short you have a perfectly structured story devod of anything that would allow a reader to make any conclusions except the one you want. You give slipshod evidence and then wait to attack those of us that don't dutiflly agree that it's an amazing proof that aliens not only are amoung us, but they are dumb enough to fly over an important miliary installation. We are analysts here, not a buch of guys sitting around a campfire impressed by ghost stories. Give us facts like accounts from people with names, ranks and unit numbers. Give us dates within this century that will allow research, not someting in "1985" that is totally out of reach to find good memories of accounts. In short bad stories does not make for good research, and if you ask if I believe you based on your credibility the answer is NO. Do better or don't waste our time.
