Because he just sits there, Anyone who sits there respectfully and listens is welcome. :) Well, it also could be because the "Alien" has become a symbol of area 51, and the mystery of it all. It is like a mascot for the base that "doesn't exist", because it represents the obscurity of the base, and the novelty and intrigue of trying to learn as much we can about something so secret. Also, Its not that we dislike aliens. Its just that we come to this forum to do research, to learn about history, and technology, history of the military, history of aviation, what technology we have, and what is one the way. We discuss facts, documentable facts. (Ocasionally we share are opinions, but we state that they are just our opions.) We contribute to further education, beacause each person posts what they know, so we all come to know all that anyone knows. But on the other hand, when you discuss aliens, inevitably it turns into a debate. And this is not a forum for debates. Even though many of us (including myself) do believe in the super-natrual, we must be mindfull that these are our "beliefs", and as much as they seem to be "facts" to us, we cannot force them on others. Actually I wonldn't mind discussing, or even debateing aliens, the para-normal, and God, But this is not the place. It would be a shame if this fine website became so waterdown by opinions and conjecture that it lost its claim to fame: a research tool for those looking for reliable and documentable information on our favorite corner of the desert. 'add in accelerator' :)
