Note that not everyone at the operation near Groom Lake is a techie. For instance, there are truck drivers who drive the final 13 miles from gate 700 to the base. [Civilian truck drivers have to stop at gate 700.] Also, I seen quite a few olive drab pieces of earth moving equipment on the ET Highway, so I guess some construction at the base is done by military personel.
