My comment regarding the hand grenade assumes you are old enough to remember how the VC operated. Just because you can spot somebody on the ground, it doesn't mean you spotted the enemy, no more than you can tell an Iraqi insurgent from an Iraqi school teacher.

The Y0-3A was designed in the SF bay area, so I don't get the skunkworks connection, which I thought was socal. I really don't see the area 51 connection. Note that there is much documentation about LGB's being tested on the Nellis ranges, i.e. the "zot". However, Nellis and Area 51 are not really related, except geographically. Obviously, if you are going to test a bomb, you need a live bombing range, hence Nellis.

What makes this prop plane appear to be more of a UFO than your run of the mill Cessna?
