YO-3A had no radar signature when transponder turned off. Extensive testing in Nevada. This was a skunk works project. In 60's a plane that made no sound at 1500 feet was science fiction. Yeah-UFO. Used after RVN for FBI Patty Hearst Case. Louisian Fish and game--very effective at capturing poachers and illegal fishing. Ten planes operated effectively in Vietnam for 18 months. It had a laser target designator--the first on fixed wing aircraft. Night Vision Aerial Periscope with Infrared illuminator. No hand grenade will bring this out of the sky.
