Sound kool to me:

Scheduled to arrive at Mars on October 27, 2001,
IF launch takes place as planned on April 15, 2001.

The orbiter will be the first space probe to take advantage of a new deceleration and orbital parking technique known as "aero-capture."

Having attained a circular orbit 1 week after arrival, the orbiter will deploy its two main science instruments. The Thermo Emissions Imaging System (THEMIS) will map the elemental coposition and abundance of hydrogen (an indicator of the presence of water ice) in the shall subsurface over the entire Martian surface. The orbiter's Gamma Ray Spectrometer (GRS) will map the mineralogy and morphology of the Martian surface using a high-resolution camera and a thermal infrared imaging spectrometer.

Additionally a Sojourner-class rover will be carried aboard the Surveyor Lander.

The Surveyor 2003 NASA mission will deploy a rover to collect Martian rock and soil samples which will then be returned to Earth.

I think Mr. Magoo would enjoy this ride.
He loves flying "high". Just think of the photo ops, Magoo- buddy *grin*

(Still in the Dawg-haus) :-(
