Sorry that you couldn't complete that trip. Gus, don't give up, it will be worth the effort. I always wanted to fly the west-north-east route. The Skyhawk isn't the fastest or best load hauling type for that route. We were in the air for 2.5 hrs on this trip and at 117 kts it seemed longer. I want to find a C-182 for my next trip. My current VFR sectional shows that R4807A could be used on weekends. It would pay to check before blasting thru though.
