I would love to see the WB-57 in person. Even with all the NASA mods. Talking about TNX flights, I used to work in operations for Delta Airlines and one Sunday evening around 1992 I recieved a call from a DAL 737-300 flying from SLC to SJC that lost an engine and driftdown became a factor.Afer declaring an emermgency he requested to land at TNX and was denined. He then proceeded for TPH Tonopah airport and landed without incident. No ground equipment or airstairs there.

It was a mess trying to round up the passengers and bus them back to Vegas for rebooking on other airlines.
Interesting that the USAF didn't want anything to do with a crippled airliner.

Thanks,
DaveB
