I have been staying in Alamo at the Alamo Meadow Lane Motel the last couple of trips. Their is only one other motel in Alamo. It is laughingly known as the Bates Motel.That may say it all. The rooms at the Meadow Lane are somewhat dated but clean. Satellite Tv with many channels. A/C and heat. Good size bathroom with big shower. The only drawback for me is I cant get an internet connection there for my laptop. It is a block from the only grocery store in town located behind the Chevron station and is really very nice for a town that size. I have been paying $38.00 a night for a room with a king bed.
