The base sometimes flies multiple UAVs (3 or 4 at a time), so that might explain the holding positions. Now technically I don't know for sure they are UAVs, but what I saw was 3 or 4 slowly moving aircraft in a reasonably precise "follow the leader" formation. They were well spaced out, not formation flying like you see at an airshow. They did this a few nights in a row. It should be in one of my trip reports or a forum post, but I'm thinking I saw this in 2002. The loop was out towards Tikaboo, then cross the highway and head towards Mt. Irish, then back to the base, heading towards Bald Mountain.
