The F-18 is the navy's premier fighter attack platform and still is currently in use. It is strange too me that one would became available to the general public and could be rebuilt and reflown. As to my understanding current, in use hardware was or is supposed to be off limits from general public for quite some time. I know that a huey is also being sold and in current use too, but that particular helicopter is being used practically all over the world. Probably is not as updated persay like a blackhawk etc.

So why are they not worried about the Mig 29's, cause it's not our hardware that's probably why. Think about it where are they going to get the engine replacements for the mig 29's as for that matter how about the f-18.
