The deal with the lightning is if you see any, turn back. It is generally heat lightning, so it starts during the day. It would be really strange to be on Tikaboo and then have a lightning storm hit at night. I'm sure the locals could give better information.

You can certainly camp out at most places around the range in the summer, and if the lightning storm shows up, go inside your vehicle.

I climbed Tikaboo once in July, but the odds are in your favor for more suitable weather if you do it in May.
