In the book aurora by Bill Sweetman he mentions that a professional aircraft spotter of some sort did see a unique black triangle, being aerial refuled and over flew his position. Along side ie escorting were 2 f-111's if I recall correctly this visual was in scotland. Also this professional spotter did a real good diagram. In looking at the diagram in the book the silhoutte was not an f117 that's for certain.
