True. They have threatened me with arrest before, but did not specify who would make that arrest. The sheriff is certainly not too happy if they call him all the way from Alamo for some bogus arrest.

And they definitely have no right to demand someone leave the area, as long as they are on public land. A few years ago, myself and a couple of friends have camped on Hawkeye Hill, one of their lookout spots that happens to be (in part) on public land. Complete with BBQ and a cooler full of beer. They were rather unhappy, but there was nothing they could do.
