As you have F16 / F15'S patrolling the skies of the USA which could be ordered to SHOOT DOWN a passenger aircraft with 400+ people on board if it is considered a Terrorist threat. I don't think they are going to worry to much about the possible Disappearance/Death of three people who were in a place which doesn't officially exist.
