The fact that E.G.& G.was established in 1947 has been common knowledge all along. There had been a few articles in L.A. Times in the past on E.G.& G. and its founder.
Coincidentally or not, CIA was officially established in 1947, as successor to OSS.
Also, coincidentally or not, Edwards Air Force Base, one of the most signficant bases in the U.S., was established in 1947.
Also, coincidentally or not, the Department of the Air Force was officially established in 1947.
Perhaps all of these are just coincidences.
Off hand, I can't think of any other significant event that took place in 1947
(other than the fact that something important was developing in the Middle East at that time....and that something strange was going on in the desert land of the American Southwest)....hehehe
