First, look at my post of November 18th about Tikaboo in January. For the last four winters, we have enjoyed very mild winters, this year seems to be setting up to be much colder with more snow. While it is possible but very dangerous to climb Tikaboo when there is only six or eight inches of snow, I suspect that this winter there will be much more than that. Another danger that I didn't mention in my earlier post is that of avalanche, the first third of the climb is on the loose shale that gets steeper as you go higher - not stable enough to trust, and if the snow starts moving, there's nothing that's going to stop it!
