If somebody gets the tail number on the plane, the mystery would be solved. There is a form that civilian can file to have regular permission to land on air force bases, but I suspect the number allowed has been cut back since 9/11. The civilian fly-ins at Edwards for the last two shows have been mostly from "the regular suspects", like the test pilot training school at Mojave, "China doll", etc. You don't see movie stars with their private jets anymore (like Michael Dorn).
